Hello Melissa! It's great to have you here! Please introduce yourself!

HI! I am Melissa, owner and designer of KaDoodle Bug Designs. My boyfriend, James, and I have been together for over 6 years and we were blessed two years ago with our beautiful daughter, Kayla. I am a stay at home mom and she is my inspiration in everything I do.

So, what got you into crafting and how did you start your business?

I have been a creative person since I was a little girl. My mom and I would always do some kind of crafts as I was growing up. I graduated from Nossi College of Art in 2003 with an associates degree in photography. I have been scrapbooking for 7 years and got into paper piecing about a year ago. Since I am limited with time because my daughter keeps me so busy, I decided to start creating my own Cutting Files and Digital Stamps. This way she cannot get into my crafting supplies as I work... lol. I love every minute when I am designing and creating my files.

What inspires you?

As stated above my daughter inspires me in all my files and James gives me the faith and belief to stick with it. Needless to say the love of them two is what keeps me going.

When do you get to craft and design? Please tell us about your other hobbies/interests?

I usually do my designing at night after my daughter goes to bed, early in the morning, or whenever I get a chance to. My other hobbies is Photography, Sewing, Painting, Drawing, Paper Flowers, Scrapbooking, Card Making and pretty much anything where I can be creative. OH and my newest hobby is COUPONS!!! I started couponing a few weeks ago and it is so addicting. I would also have to say it does pay off as well.

What cutter do you use and prefer? Besides the cutter and software, what is the one MUST HAVE crafting tool?

I currently use my Cricut Expression Machine. I am looking into getting a different machine. I am just unsure of what to get at the moment.

I would have to say my other MUST HAVE crafting tool would be my sewing machine. I love sewing dresses for my daughter and making decor for her room. My other must have paper crafting tool would be my Cuttlebug because I love embossing paper and using it on my projects.
